Before booking with Olivia's Dog Grooming, please read the following carefully. When you create a booking with Olivia's Dog Grooming, you will be sent a copy of the following to e-sign.
By booking an appointment with Olivia’s Dog Grooming, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, and to allow the business to operate fairly and professionally
1. Appointments & Cancellations
• Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a charge. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged 50% of the grooming fee. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged 100% of the grooming fee. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
2. Pricing
• All prices quoted online, over the phone, or by message are estimates only. Final prices may vary depending on: Coat condition , Grooming frequency, Dog size, Dog behaviour and temperament, Time required, Additional treatments needed. Any changes in cost will be discussed at drop-off or before grooming begins.
3. Late Arrivals
• If you are late dropping off your dog, we may not have enough time to complete the full groom. In this case, a bath and tidy may be offered instead, depending on schedule availability. If this alternative is declined, the full grooming fee will still apply, as the appointment slot cannot be reallocated.
4. Matting & Welfare
• In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, severely matted dogs will not be brushed out, as this causes pain, stress, and potential injury. Instead, we will clip the matting out, which may result in a very short or uneven coat. This will be discussed at drop-off, and your consent will be required before proceeding. Clipping matted coats carries a risk of skin irritation, cuts, or sensitivity, especially where the matting is tight to the skin. Olivia’s Dog Grooming is not responsible for any injury caused as a result of matting. All necessary care will be taken to avoid harm. By attending your appointment, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
5. Skin Conditions & Health Issues
• Any known skin conditions, allergies, medical issues, behavioural concerns, or injuries must be disclosed prior to the appointment.
• We cannot be held responsible for any reactions, injuries, or worsening of pre-existing conditions that were not disclosed.

6. Fleas & Parasites
• If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are found during the groom, a surcharge of £5 to £15 will be added to cover:
• Flea shampoo
• Deep cleaning and disinfection of the van or salon
• You will also be advised to seek veterinary treatment.
• In cases of severe infestation, the groom may be stopped immediately.
• The full grooming fee will still be payable.

7. Behaviour & Safety
• We reserve the right to refuse service or stop a groom at any time if a dog displays aggressive or highly stressed behaviour that poses a risk to the groomer or the dog.
• In such cases, a partial or full fee may still be charged depending on the time and services already completed.
• Owners will be informed of any behavioural concerns observed during the groom.

8. Emmi-Pet Teeth Cleaning
• Emmi-Pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a preventative hygiene treatment designed to help reduce plaque and tartar, freshen breath, and support ongoing oral health.
• This is a cosmetic, non-invasive treatment and should not replace veterinary dental care.
• It is not suitable for dogs with loose teeth, gum infections, or signs of dental disease.
• Please consult your vet if you have any concerns about your dog’s dental health before booking Emmi-Pet sessions.
• Results vary depending on the dog’s age, condition of teeth, and frequency of treatment.

9. Liability
• All dogs are groomed entirely at the owner’s risk.
• While every effort is made to provide a safe and stress-free experience, Olivia’s Dog Grooming is not liable for:
• Pre-existing conditions
• Health issues that arise during or after the groom
• Injuries caused by matting, parasites, or underlying conditions not disclosed in advance

10. Photos & Social Media
• We may take photos or videos of your dog during or after the groom for use on our website and social media platforms.
• Please let us know in advance if you do not consent to this.
